Wizkid (born Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun on July 16, 1990) is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and record producer. He rose to fame with his debut single "Holla at Your Boy" (2010) and subsequent hits like "Tease Me/Bad Guys" and "Don't Dull." Wizkid's notable albums include "Superstar" (2011), "Ayo (Joy)" (2014), "Sounds from the Other Side" (2017), and "Made in Lagos" (2020). He has collaborated with international artists like Drake, Beyoncé, Kanye West, and Chris Brown, earning multiple awards, including a Grammy Award, BET Awards, and MTV Africa Music Awards. Wizkid's music blends Afrobeats, dancehall, and R&B, making him a key figure in the global spread of Afrobeats. He has broken numerous records, including becoming the first African artist to headline a sold-out show at the O2 Arena in London and the first Nigerian artist to win a Grammy Award. Wizkid is widely regarded as one of the most influential and successful African artists of all time.
