Timaya is a Nigerian singer and songwriter known for his unique blend of Nigerian pop, dancehall, hip-hop, and soca sounds .Born Inetimi Alfred Odom on August 15, 1980, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria, Timaya grew up as the youngest of 15 children in a large family His music career began in 2005 with the release of his debut single "Dem Mama," which spoke about the Odi massacre ¹. This song was part of his debut album, "True Story," released in 2007, followed by "Gift and Grace" in 2008 ¹ ².
