Nav, born Navraj Singh Goraya on November 3, 1989, in Toronto, Canada, is a Canadian rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer. Of Punjabi descent, Nav initially gained attention as a producer, co-producing Drake's 2015 diss track "Back to Back." He later transitioned into performing, achieving viral success with his 2016 song "Myself." Signed to The Weeknd's XO label and Republic Records, Nav has since released several successful projects, including his debut mixtape Perfect Timing with Metro Boomin and his studio albums Bad Habits (2019) and Good Intentions (2020), both of which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. Known for his collaborations with artists such as Travis Scott, Gunna, and The Weeknd, Nav's hit single "Turks" peaked at number 17 on the Billboard Hot 100. His style blends melodic trap with introspective lyrics, making him a prominent figure in modern hip-hop.
