Lil Durk is an American rapper from Chicago, Illinois, born Durk Devontay Banks on October 19, 1992. He gained a local following with his Signed to the Streets mixtape series, leading to a signing with Def Jam Recordings, and has since released several successful albums and mixtapes, becoming a prominent figure in the drill music genre. His notable works include Remember My Name, Lil Durk 2X, Signed to the Streets 3, Love Songs 4 the Streets 2, The Voice, The Voice of the Heroes, 7220, Almost Healed, and Love Songs 4 the Streets 3. Lil Durk is credited as a pioneer of drill music and won a Grammy Award for Best Melodic Rap Performance for his song "All My Life" (featuring J. Cole) in 2023.
