King Von (August 9, 1994 – November 6, 2020) was an American rapper and songwriter from Chicago, Illinois. His real name was Dayvon Bennett, and he was signed to Lil Durk's record label, Only the Family (OTF). King Von gained a following in the hip-hop world for his raw energy, vivid storytelling, and authenticity. King Von's music often depicted the harsh realities of growing up in Chicago's South Side, with lyrics that explored themes of street life, violence, and perseverance. He released several successful mixtapes and singles, including "War" and "I Am What I Am". Tragically, King Von's life was cut short when he was fatally shot outside an Atlanta nightclub in 2020. Despite his short career, he left a lasting impact on the hip-hop community and inspired a new generation of artists.
