Heems (Himanshu Suri) is an American rapper, writer, and entrepreneur, best known as a member of the alternative hip-hop group Das Racist. Born in 1985 in Queens, New York, Heems' music often explores themes of identity, culture, and social justice, blending witty humor and intellectual depth. After Das Racist disbanded, Heems released solo projects like "Nehru Jackets" (2012) and "Eat Pray Thirst" (2015), collaborating with artists such as Dev Hynes and Antwon. Heems has also written essays and editorials for publications like The New York Times and The Guardian, and founded the record label Greedhead Music, showcasing emerging talent.
