Gasmilla, born Odartei Milla Lamptey on December 15, 1984, in Ghana, is a pioneering Afrobeat and Hiplife artist popularly known as the "International Fisherman." He gained widespread recognition for his hit songs "Aboodatoi" and "Telemo," which played a significant role in popularizing the Azonto dance and music genre. Gasmilla began his music career during his school years and later became the first artist at Cold Eye Studios. His unique blend of Afrobeat, Hiplife, and cultural influences has made him a standout figure in Ghana’s music industry. In addition to his musical accomplishments, Gasmilla has been a vocal advocate for environmental causes, using his platform to promote sanitation and organize beach cleanups in Accra.
