FirstKlaz, born Joseph Justice Elsa, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter based in Abuja. His musical style blends a variety of genres, including Afrobeat, Fuji, hip-hop, R&B, and pop. FirstKlaz's journey into music began early, influenced by his father's insistence on him joining the church choir, which laid the foundation for his understanding of music. Despite early resistance from his father to pursue secular music, FirstKlaz persisted in his musical ambitions, releasing his first song in 2019. His music, especially his "Gen-Z" series, which includes tracks like "Gen-Z Fuji" and collaborations with artists like Joeboy, has garnered attention for its fresh blend of traditional and contemporary sounds.
