Fantasia Monique Barrino, professionally known as Fantasia, is an American R&B singer, songwriter, and actress. Born on June 30, 1984, in High Point, North Carolina, Fantasia rose to fame after winning Season 3 of American Idol in 2004. Her debut single "I Believe" topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and subsequent hits like "Truth Is" and "When I See U" solidified her position in the R&B genre. With seven studio albums, including "Free Yourself" (2004), "Fantasia" (2006), and "Back to Me" (2010), Fantasia has showcased her powerful, soulful voice, earning a Grammy Award and multiple BET and NAACP Image Award nominations.
