Don Williams

Don Williams (1939-2017) was an American country music singer, songwriter, and musician known for his smooth, deep voice and laid-back style. He was one of the most popular country artists of the 1970s and 1980s, with a string of hit songs and albums that appealed to a wide range of audiences. Born in Floydada, Texas, Williams grew up in a musical family and began performing at a young age. He formed his first band, The Pozo Seco Singers, in the 1960s and had his first hit single, "Wings of Love," in 1970. Williams' solo career took off in the mid-1970s with hits like "Come Early Morning," "Your Sweet Love," and "Good Ole Boys Like Me." He went on to release 17 studio albums, including the platinum-selling "Good Times" and "Especially for You." Some of his most famous songs include: - "Tulsa Time" - "There's No Gettin' Over Me" - "It Must Be Love" - "Love Me Over Again" - "I Believe in You" Williams was known for his warm, baritone voice, and his ability to craft songs that were both catchy and meaningful.
