Influenced by Nigerian Afropop icons like Psquare, Brown Joel's musical journey began at 14, recording his first song and honing his craft in Lagos. Raised in a music-loving family, his mother, a church choir singer, nurtured his talents. Starting as a freestyle artist, Brown Joel gained popularity sharing vocal performances and covers on social media, showcasing his unique voice and Afrobeat-pop blend. This caught the attention of Musiq Bank Company, signing him in September 2022. He released hit singles "Omo Ologo" and "Peace" in 2022, resonating with listeners and garnering significant streams on music platforms, solidifying his position as a promising talent in Nigeria's vibrant music scene.
