Blaqbonez, born Emeka Akumefule on January 29, 1996, in Lagos, Nigeria, is a Nigerian rapper, singer, and songwriter known for his unique blend of Afrobeat, hip-hop, and rap music. With his sharp lyrics, witty wordplay, and confident persona, Blaqbonez has quickly gained recognition as one of the leading voices in Nigeria’s contemporary rap scene. Blaqbonez developed a passion for music at a young age, influenced by both global hip-hop and local Nigerian sounds. He started recording and performing while still in school, earning early attention through his mixtapes and singles. His breakout came with the release of his 2018 project Bad Boy Blaq, which showcased his versatility and ability to blend rap with Afrobeat influences.
